Garnett Street Holiday Home is a restored Victorian townhouse over three floors, finished with a boutique hotel feel.
Sleeping up to eight guests across three bedrooms, the house includes two Superking rooms, with the option to convert one into twin singles, plus a Superking and two single bed dens in the attic room.
Guests share a main bathroom, downstairs loo, open-plan kitchen-diner and comfortable lounge designed for relaxed evenings.
Please note: access is via exterior steps, making the house unsuitable for guests with limited mobility.
Ground floor + Terrace
The terrace
A large terrace with outdoor seating. A nice outdoor space for all to enjoy. Secure storage under the steps - enough for 2 bikes or your paddle board!
Entrance
A first impression that sets the tone for the rest of the house. Olive panelling, a peg rail for coats, a bench for boots. A good place to drop bags and get ready for the outdoors. Dog acccesories provided (lead, spare bags, treats and drinking bowls)
The lounge
Soft heritage green walls, a generous sectional sofa, a mid-century coffee table, a restored decorative fireplace (no open fires please!).
A large smart TV is tucked into the corner. Sign in to your own accounts and you're set. The lounge has a beautiful large arched window that overlooks Market Street - great for people watching!
Hall and downstairs WC
The kitchen
A south-facing kitchen with teal-tiled splashback, integrated oven and induction hob, dishwasher, washer-dryer, and generous workspace for cooking and gathering.
There’s also a kettle, toaster, scales, hand blender and stand mixer. If we’ve forgotten anything, please let us know.
The dining area
A round-to-oval solid wood dining table that comfortably seats six - eight. Open to the kitchen so the cook isn't banished from the conversation.
First floor
Bedroom 1
A first-floor bedroom dressed in a moody palette of dark olive, soft greys and brushed brass. A super-king bed, crisp linen, blackout curtains, motion-sensored wardrobe lighting, dresser & arm chair, USB sockets.
Bedroom 2
A spacious first-floor room balancing warmth and light. Soft earthy tones, and touches of copper.
Made up as twin singles, but please tell us if you’d prefer the bed to be made as a Superking when you book. All matresses in the house are deep, made in wool and natural materials, and pocket sprung for maximum comfort. We steam clean the matresses between changeovers.
Family bathroom
The family bathroom has a rainfall shower over the bath. A toilet and a sink. Shampoo, hair conditioner, body wash and hand soap are all eco + skin friendly from Miniml.
Top floor, the attic den - sleeps 4
An entire top floor given over to one beautifully bright bedroom. Sloped ceilings, Velux skylights (with black-out blinds), a super-king bed with luxurious wool matreess and two additional single beds tucked into a handmade den alcoves. An ideal family room.
