  • The house is licensed to sleep up to 8 (six adults plus two children). We can comfortably host any combination of adults and children up to that total. Cots and high chairs are available on request for younger children.

  • There are three bedrooms across two floors. The first floor has The Olive Room and The Terracotta Room, both with super-king beds. The Terracotta Room can be reconfigured to twins on request. The attic floor has a bright open-plan room with a super-king bed plus two single beds in separate alcoves under the eaves, ideal for families or two couples. There is a family bathroom on the first floor and a WC on the ground floor.

  • Check-in is from 3pm. Check-out is by 10am. We'll send the lockbox key code the day before you arrive, so you can let yourself in at any point from 3pm. If you'd like to drop bags earlier or check out later, just ask as we can usually accommodate it.

  • There's a key safe to the left of the front door. We'll WhatsApp you the code the day before you arrive. Self check-in means you can arrive whenever suits you, no need to coordinate a meet-up.

  • Yes. We provide two visitor parking permits for your use, allowing you to park in the resident-permit zone outside the house. There's room for two cars directly outside Garnett Street. If both spaces are taken on arrival, there's usually space further down the street or in surrounding permit zones.

    Alternatively there is nearby pay and display parking from 60p per hour.

  • We welcome up to two well-behaved cats or dogs (£15 per pet cleaning surcharge). The walks from the door are excellent, Hardcastle Crags and the Rochdale Canal towpath are particularly dog-friendly. We don't accept other animals. Please let us know about your cat or dog when you book.

  • Yes. We have a travel cot, a high chair and a stair gate available on request. The house is on multiple floors, so we'd suggest it's most relaxed for families with children old enough to navigate stairs unaided. The lounge has a real fireplace surround which is decorative, not lit.

  • Garnett Street Holiday Home is accessed down a flight of external steps and is not suitable for wheelchair users or guests with significant mobility needs. There are stairs to all bedrooms. If you'd like detailed accessibility information before booking, please get in touch.

  • Everything you'd want for self-catering: integrated electric oven and hob, microwave, full-size fridge-freezer, 9kg washer-dryer, kettle, toaster, kitchen scales, hand-blender, stand mixer, full set of pots and pans, and a generous range of crockery and glassware. Tea, instant coffee, sugar, salt, pepper, oil and washing-up basics are stocked on arrival.

  • Yes, we have superfast Wi-Fi (over 200 Mbps), more than fast enough for video calls, streaming and remote working. The router is in the kitchen. And the Welcome Guide contains a QR code you can scan for instant connection.

  • Cancellation policy -

    • If you cancel more than 30 days before arrival, we will fully refund your deposit

    • 30–7 days before arrival: deposit retained, balance not yet due.

    • Less than 7 days before arrival: full payment retained.

    • We strongly recommend taking out travel insurance.

  • Yes. We offer a 5% direct-booking discount, so you’ll avoid the platform service fee on top (typically another 14–20%).

  • Hebden Cars 01422 844070 or Valley Private Hire 01422 843030. Pre-book for early or late trips.

  • Buses stop on Market Street, just minutes away. Routes run from Hebden Bridge to Halifax, Todmorden, and Rochdale and Keighley.

    Hebden Bridge Station is a 10-minute walk. Regular trains to Manchester (40 min), Leeds (50 min), and Bradford (35 min).

  • This is a large home in a quiet residental area, not a party house, so no events, please.

    No vaping/smoking inside.

    We ask guests to respect quiet hours from 10pm to 8am out of consideration for neighbours.
